Fw: Reply to BM

We too would also like to see a reasonable bond (25 million or
under and no tax raises) put forth. She and her assistants were
the ones with the hatefull tone BM by the recent sillyness at
the last two Board meetings even Pigg mentioned in the first
meeting that we should not even be discussing this but should
be doing the business that we need to. Amen Pigg!! Where you
at that meeting BM? Dr. Jim was only "the messenger". He had
done his survey and Dave Williams had even told him: whether
you win or lose the community needs to know the results. After
has big election win, he shared it with Melissa after she was
elected President of the Board and she, while not reading it,
said to forward it on to the other Board members and the
Superintendent. Of course, like Jim said, the Super forwarded
it on to others and that is how it got to the paper. Great
Friends, hey??

She has so polarized the community in many different areas,
such as the Land Deal for the new school (hopeful the VIEW
will have the guts to print the truth on this, Phil is working
on it). If they do not, it will be put on this blog. Believe
me, it is all documented. Another item, is the Linda Cottle
incident and other teachers who have quit and are being
replaced by coaches. Academics should be first and foremost
to the education and if that teacher also happens to be a
coach so much the better. There are many great avantages to
the athletes by participating in the various sports. But they
have it just backwards. Also, when you start bringing family
members into the system that should be a big NO NO. And, when
the WISD under her direction starts vendettas against people
in town and putting their jobs at stake, that is crossing the
line of civil decency. Probably a good idea for you to go down
to the bottom read my speech to the School Board last year
right after the Bond vote.

The WISD community will be much better if she resigns and moves
on. It will be for the betterment of the kids who have been the
big lossers this past year by the negative actions of her and
the School Board. We did have a group of concened No Bond
people meeting with three of the Board members in Dec. and Jan.
and it was working very smoothly and we were making great
progress. But, one decided to go with her vote against Jim and
some of us said, "well, there goes the trust we had in her".

So, hopefully this clears up a few things for you being
uninformed in many areas as much of the community is. One
reason being the incorrect reporting job being done by the VIEW
(biased reporters)and not printing pertinent information from
Board meetings that lead people in the community to believe
some things that are really not true. I had to straighten out
a good friend the other day about Pigg. I would suggest you
forwarding this to your Like Minded Friends.

To: The WISD School Board

We, the undersigned tax payers in the Wimberley Independent School District, are deeply concerned about the declining status of the district's schools. We are pledged to oppose any and all future Bond proposals UNTIL the current Superintendent is relieved of her position, a new Superintendent hired and the district is again set on a course that will best serve the interests of schools and the community as a whole.

The Silent Majority Statement

Spurred by the Texas Education Agency's reclassification of the Wimberley schools from "Exemplary" in 2002 down to "Recognized" in 2006, a citizens group called "the Silent Majority" has formed with the intention of circulating a petition to be presented to the school board at the March/April Meeting. The organization will inform the Board that, although its members support the schools and want to do whatever is necessary to regain the "Exemplary" rating, they will NOT support any Bond proposal so long as the current Superintendent of Schools retains her position.

A spokesman for the organization said: "We want the best for the students in our schools. Political controversy and one-upmanship are NOT the way to achieve that goal. We will oppose any Bond proposals until Board members and the administration come to their senses and realize that their function is to support and improve academics and not waste time and energy engaging in political feuds. The FUTURE of our children is too important to ignore while pursing a vendetta against a Board member who to compile a report on "Community Perceptions of WISD and was only "the messenger."

The Petition will begin circulating in March. IF you want Wimberley to have schools worthy of its reputation as a "good place to visit - a great place to live", sign on to make Wimberley a "great place to go to school" as well.

RUMOR from The Chili Cook Off

Sent: Saturday, February 17,2007 2:53 PM

Marlys and I just got back from the Chili Cook Off at the VFW. Boy, there is a rumor going around about Maid Marion that the Bond WILL BE DEAD UPON ARRIVAL, due to what happened last Monday Night at the WISD Board Meeting and the "perception" that she was the one who orchestrated Dr. Jim's ouster, the Land Deal that she was trying to pull in the last failed Bond and than probably the undeserved firing of Gene Ritter, a volunteer at the WIFD, by Carroll Czichos. I sat one over from Gene and while he should not have been making a few of the remarks he did to Clint and I while in a WFD shirt, we think those claiming what he did had ulterior motives going back to a dance teacher that was FIRED and Gene's daughter being part of that dance team. As I understand it, the teacher wanted to appeal it to the State but Maid Marion would NOT let her. So, DO WE, have some retribution here. MOST LIKELY. STUDENTS, PARENTS and TEACHERS do NOT cross certain Principals or they are sent to Maid Marion for discipline or what for. What I am hearing is that the PEOPLE WANT HER GONE - NO BOND WHILE SHE IS HERE. About 5 people approached me IF I had heard different parts of the above. Even talked to Gene who was there for some verification.
